Beneath the Paper Truss
a novel by Anna Kavanaugh
Elias is a young man who has believed his father, a leading anthropologist, and mother, a famous theologian, tragically died years before in a cavern collapse. He is now visited by a group of researchers who claim to be the former expedition team of his parents, searching together for the secrets behind the Bridge of the Gods. They provide him with his mother’s journals which paint a far different picture than what he’d believed, including the brutal events they had witnessed.

It is up to Elias to carry on the importance of their work and to uncover what waits to be revealed in the deep ice caverns of inconspicuous Greenland. Determined to ensure their work is never realized is a seemingly sinister organization charged with protecting the sanctity and structure of world religion. Passage over the Bridge of the Gods, and the resurfacing of the old cultures who practiced it, may destroy all stability balanced by religion and theology.

The journey will lead Elias, and best friends Bastian and Melina, to ultimately discover what lies in the most hidden depths of mankind. He is about to learn the truth surrounding the death of his parents, the drive behind their work, and just what passage really means.
